Mother's Day Surprise
Saturday morning, the hounds surprised me a day early with a very nice mother's day gift. Clark said that they told him Circuit City had in store pick up and to order me up something they thought I needed.
They must have heard me bemoaning the fact that at the pool the other day, there was one kid, Eric Cartman, Jr. who HAD to get his mom's attention. MOM MOM MOM MOM MOM MOM. He didn't shut up til he got water in his nose and started crying. It wasn't because the mom actually paid him any attention, she was too busy talking to her friend.
Clark was blissfully oblivious to the kid, he was resting, jamming to his IPOD.
Low and behold, the hounds had scraped up enough cookie crumbs to hook me up with my own Nano! At least that's what they said. I know better. Circuit City does not take cookie crumbs as payment but Clark helped them out and was sweet enough to charge it up and load up some good songs on there, so I was all set for the pool Saturday.
Storm clouds moved in Saturday afternoon, so we didn't actually make it to the pool, but I am sure there will be many more summer days when the Ipod will block out the bad kids at the pool.
Kids and their parents today could take a lesson from us and our hounds! When our pack gets to barking, we tell them to be quiet so they don't disturb the neighborhood!
